The essence of Rencontres
The RCM is a time for exchange, discussion, and inspiration all centred around mountain cinema. At its heart, the event aims to share films that showcase the wild, untouched side of the mountain all the while celebrating the diversity of what they have to offer and of who they offer it to.
Our core values: emotion, motivation, community, and curiosity.
The Jeunes en Montagne Program
By implementing an entrance fee in 2015, we have been able to support the development of the Jeunes en Montagne community program created by the city of Grenoble and the Club Alpin Francais. This program has allowed more than 400 children and teenagers from different sociocultural organizations and secondary schools to enjoy a variety of mountain activities such as rock climbing, hiking, caving, via ferrata, and snowshoeing.
