Les Rencontres Ciné Montagne aim to offer the public a programming mainly composed by films featuring outdoor physical activities in the mountains, highlighting the diversity of practices and practitioners, and narrating human adventures, all within the context of a "wild" mountain, meaning non-mechanized and non-developed. Films that tell stories of human adventures "by fair means" will be prioritized, both in the way of traversing the mountain with the minimum of artifice and in the way of reaching it (limiting carbon impact), as well as stories related to contemporary issues, whether environmental or societal. Beyond the quality of technical production (sound, image, music, editing, etc.), particular attention is given to films that showcase original storytelling and demonstrate creativity.
